The Greatness of Silence

The silence is sweet: 
when no answer to the offense, 
not when you claim your rights 
when they leave God to defend your honor.

Silence is mercy: 
when you shut up before the faults of your brothers,
when you forgive without dwelling on the past 
When not condemn, but to intercede in secret.

Silence is patience: 
when you suffer without you grieve 
when no searches consolation among men, 
when not intervens, hoping that the seed germinates slowly.

Silence is humility: 
when you delete to leave your brother appears,
When, at discretion, reveals God's gifts, 
while supporting that your actions are misunderstood, 
When you leave the others the glory of unfinished work.

Silence is authentic: 
when you dying out, knowing that it is he who acts ...
When waivers to the voices of the world to remain in His presence ...

O silêncio é doçura:
Quando não respondes às ofensas,

Quando não reclamas os teus direitos, 

Quando deixas a Deus a defesa da tua honra. 

O silêncio é misericórdia:

Quando te calas diante das faltas de teus irmãos,

Quando perdoas sem remoer o passado,

Quando não condenas, mas intercedes em segredo.

O silêncio é paciência:

Quando sofres sem te lamentares,

Quando não procuras consolação junto aos homens,

Quando não intervéns, e esperas que a semente germine lentamente.

O silêncio é humildade:

Quando te apagas para deixar aparecer teu irmão,

Quando, na discrição, revelas dons de Deus,

Quando suportas que tuas ações sejam mal interpretadas,

Quando deixas a outros a glória da obra inacabada.

O silêncio é verdade:
Quando te apagas, sabendo que é Ele quem age...

Quando renuncias às vozes do mundo para permanecer na Sua presença...

Quando basta que apenas Ele te compreenda.
